Everyone says that if you eat more slowly, you'll know as soon as you're full, and so you'll eat less and lose weight. That's hard to do - eating slow is kinda boring. But I think I've solved the problem as far as my cereal. See, I'm totally addicted to breakfast cereal. Nothing beats it for a snack, breakfast, dessert, whatever. I LOVE the stuff. And it's hard not to just shovel it into my mouth, and therefore eat it WAY too quickly. Well, here's my thought: buy alot of Froot Loops, and eat them by color.
Seriously. Eat only the red pieces first until they're all gone, then the oranges, then the yellows, etc. And don't cheat either - if there's any other color on your spoon, kinda fool with it until it falls off and you only have red on there. The not-cheating thing is vital to eating your cereal slowly enough.
See, I almost always get another bowl of cereal when I have it because I think I'm still hungry. If I eat them by color and slow it down a bit, I usually don't. That's goodness-knows-how-many calories I'm no longer ingesting just because I played with my food!
If you're a Froot Loops person, give it a try. It's kinda fun. :)
