Wow, I didn't blog yesterday x_X!! I suck.
Yesterday was laundry day. I got about 5 loads done, and trust me, we needed it. Poor boyfriend had no shirts, poor daughter had no socks. All is well now, however! I also edited a video for a friend yesterday. She asked me to do it awhile back, and yesterday, between loads (when all I was doing was waiting for the dryer), I had the opportunity. So that's cool that I got that done too! :)
The weather looks like it's really going to be nice this weekend so I'm planning a weekend playing outside with the little one. She's probably getting a bit stir-crazy in the house, and plus she got a trike for Christmas that she hasn't been able to ride outside yet. She'll probably have a blast.
Anyway. Being that I didn't blog yesterday, and I'm not reading 7 Habits as diligently, I can feel myself already starting to slip off track. My will power is starting to fade, and that means I need to get back on the ball really quick. This is always the part where I lose it. Whenever I try to establish new good habits, I stop after awhile. Sometimes a few days, sometimes a few weeks.
Well, I'm not going to let that happen this time. First off, I'm gonna clean up the living room. Dust, pick up, vaccuum, and even put the futon cover (which I washed last night) back on the futon. Usually I need help for that, but today I'm gonna pretend that my boyfriend doesn't exist, and if I don't put it on myself, it won't be put on.
After that, I'm going to call my grandmother and let her know how I'm doing. I told her I'd call her yesterday and I forgot. So that's not good.
Then I'm going to continue the job search. That has to keep going until I find something, so that's something I chip away at every day.
Then I'll chill out the rest of the day. Pick up as needed, but nothing heavy-duty. And then dinner, and then I'll run the dishwasher.
See, I have to plan like this. Otherwise the day just looks too daunting. Planning stuff out like this, one bit at a time, makes the daily tasks seem less scary. When you have a big mess to clean up, the best thing you can do is worry about it one item at a time. And yes, my days are messes sometimes.
