Small Business starting-out-help

So today I went to the Small Business Administration website to find resources there on starting a small business... doing photo retouching & design work from home. That would really be ideal for me, but I honestly have no idea how to go about doing it. The SBA website was actually pretty helpful once I waded through the buzzwords, legalese, and vague link names. Turns out if you know where you're going, they have online classes, reading materials, addresses & phone numbers for local help, and stuff like that. I wish someone had told me about it earlier, to be honest.

I'm gonna be doing research on this for awhile, that way I have something to fall back on if I can't find a job by, say, the end of the month.

In the meantime, I AM still working on my portfolio & resume, trying to get as much attention as I can.
